Such a Ron. Don't be like a Ron.

I'm Ron.
The Mor-Ron today.

I went down to the rumpus room to record some midi on my song of the now.
I couldn't record midi at all. Nor did I try to record any audio.
I did this.
I did that.
I tried simple instrument tracks.
I tried midi tracks.
I tried the virtual controller.
Meters Meters red track - no midi data.

You know what was wRONg don't you.

Waaaay down near the end was a punch in area from a week ago.  <facepalm>

Only difference is over time you catch on faster. First time I might have spent an hour!!!!
Now it's less than a minute.

I thought about putting a P-touch label on the monitor to remind me but then thought better of it because they would never stop and I would have labels everywhere about this Sonar thing and that.
Like ripple editing. grrrr!

The first thing I did with the Theme Editor was super-saturate the punch indicator color so that it was REALLY BRIGHT RED.

The first 3 books in "The Musician's Guide to Home Recording" series are available from Hal Leonard and http://www.reverb.com. Listen to my music on http://www.YouTube.com/thecraiganderton, and visit http://www.craiganderton.com. Thanks!

And why did we call them Wreck Rooms  ... oh no that would be "Rec Room" as in recreation, as you were...

I think most of us have had a gotcha like that. I sure have. Maybe there will be improvements that will address these 2 issues in particular. A toast pop up to tell you you’re in punch or ripple mode.
