I kept scrolling to see if you'd posted this one. Been my favorite Top Tip since around 1991 when it was first printed.

I think you missed my other favorite though:

MOTORISTS. Save money on expensive personalized car number plates by simply changing your name to match your existing plate.

Mr KVL 741Y,
London

Incidentally Chris Donald lists that one as his favorite in his biography, which is a cracking good read by the way. Or was it Simon Donald's? I read both their books and they're great. They lived nearby me in Newcastle, my dad was pals with them both at one point.

Thinking about it, we haven't seen an awful lot of the duplicitous turncoats round these parts of late.

Look how the whole place has descended into a cesspit of filth and offence in their absence....

I wonder, will we be similarly blessed with 'Bakery Hosts' when these forums eventually disappear up their own Asio?

My all-time favourite Viz item James:

Remember the "Life Of Christ In Cats" tea towel?

I used to work with a couple of guys who did the classic "Andrex - wipes the **** off your **** and your finger won't go through" ad from the 80's. It was a bespoke software company in Ponteland, and apparently they almost got fired because the boss caught them working on it during work hours.

I miss the old Viz. I think I started reading it in '84 or '85, this was back when it was just in Newcastle and had a small cult following. Some of the early cartoons had a great style to them, my favorite artist was the guy who did Norbert Colon (He's as tight as a gnat's chuff...)

However I think the guy who's made me laugh the most is Davy Jones who did all those really surreal cartoons like 'The Vibrating Bum-Faced Goats" and one of my favorites, Major Misunderstanding:

I liked The Modern Parents as well. Great parody of the ridiculousness of so-called "progressive" parenting. There's a great story where Malcolm, the father takes Tarquin, the little boy, to a "male bonding session" and he ends up telling them all they're pathetic. In the car on the way home, Malcolm says to the kid, "You know we don't believe in guilt, Tarquin. But if we did, I hope you'd be feeling thoroughly ashamed of yourself."
