Sudden Sustain problems with Sonar platinum

Never had this problem before.

Sustain works fine with stand alone Rapture program.
Sustain works fine when connected to a stand alone MIDI hardware device (Roland JV-1010)

Does strange things with Sonar platinum.
* Does not record pedal event
* Will sustain a note that has already been struck
* Prevents any new notes from sounding when pedal is down

Axiom 61 controller via USB or MIDI cable
The same problem happens with an older controller as well

have you tried recording it and looking in PRV under controller events ?
Sustain Pedal is MIDI controller 64 you should have a value of either 0 or 127.

some sustain pedals are "normally open" and some are "normally closed".

I recorded it and looked at the events list. No CC 64 there.

I'm wondering if something in the setup might be corrupted because it does work with stand alone Rapture ?

If you record the midi on a track that works, what happens if you copy and paste that recording to the other synth?

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

Thank you both for your reply.

There are no midi tracks that will record Sustain pedal events. I believe that the keyboard, driver & sustain pedal are good because a stand alone Rapture (Not running in cakewalk environment) do sustain just fine.

BTW - I can create sustain pedal events in the event list that do function. I just can't record them.

You must remember with Rapture Pro select Midi Channel if you want sustain pedal to work. Switch custom to all in Track Control Layout to get Midi channel select box to appear.
