Suddenly, MIDI-interface can not be used any more

Hello! I have a problem which – until now – did not occur. I use a harmonizer (stand-alone) which sends midi-information to Sonar X1 studio. This harmonizer uses a Midi-interface (Midi in). If I work with Sonar X1, I use the same Midi-interface. Until now, that was no problem. Now, the midi-interface is not taken by Sonar X1 any more, if the harmonizer-program works. Strangely, I have the option to choose this interface, but it does not take my choice. In short: The midi-interface can not be used by Sonar X1, if the harmonizer is working (and using the same interface). Any idea, what to do? Thanks, windplayer

Have you changed anything other than the Sonar version? Your description is a bit confusing. How is the harmonizer connected to the computer? USB or MIDI cables? Make sure you have the MIDI cables connected correctly. MIDI IN goes to MIDI OUT and vice-versa. In Sonar X1 preferences, what do you have selected for MIDI Devices? What version of Windows are you using?

Your still in the wrong forum and you are leaving a trail of no reply's to help offered by people, one person even read a manual for you and you never thanked him or responded.Subscribe to your threads and follow up and you'll get answers soon enough. I don't understand this question either as all I'm reading is your MIDI interface is not working. That's pretty easy to fix but please respond first.
