Supercollider

https://soundcloud.com/moe_shinola/supercollider

Cover of a song by local Kansas City band Gutbunny, as a birthday present for Alexavier Strangerz, and a tribute to his friend, Gutbunny member Dan Sheppard(R.I.P.). Created in Sonar 8.5 PE using Session Drummer, Dim Pro(bass), Minimoog Original, Takamine acoustic, Hamer Echotone electric, Rogue lap steel(tuned to open G chord w/ 5 strings),  Vox Amplug AC30, Audiotechnica mic, Lexicon Alpha interface, Korg microKEY and MIDI drum loops from groovemonkee.com. I plan to make a video to go with this, Just me mime-ing the song in front of the webcam. Hope you all enjoy the song. It only took me a couple days to get this together. Here's the original song if anyone's interested:

The emotions come across very well here. I also watched the video.
If you allow one comment on the mix: I find the drums way to dry and upfront. I think they could "swim" a bit more in the music.
Other than that, I like the way it's performed. It really suits that song.

    All the best,
    Daniel

Nice tribute, but Daniel is right about the drums being a bit to far up front. Nice sound other than that. Good vocals. Rest in peace Dan.

ok, I tried your link again using Chrome browser instead of IE9 and it played...
I like the song, and production...
Sounds good, but the drum kit could use a bit of ambience, "room treatment"...
    good start...
