Superior Drummer in Sonar X2, Midi to Audio Export

 I recently made a post about this but I believe it was in the wrong are of the forum? I'm really not sure as I've only made one post before. My problem is that I've programmed a songs-worth of drums with superior drummer as a midi in Sonar, and have had it play back and such. Now I want to export the file and insert it as audio into a new Sonar file so that I can record other instruments over it. I'm not sure what the steps involved are as I am still very new to this. Any help is appreciated, and I apologize if I'm leaving posts in the wrong places.

    you dont need to export it
    you can just add more tracks whether they be audio or midi.
    in Sonar converting the.midi data.to audio throuvj a VSTi like SupDrummer is called bouncing to track.
    that will leave with the midi and audio as seperate tracks
    depending on how you set up SupDrummer you could have one midi track but seperate audio tracks for each drum instrument.

    Another alternative might be to do a 'save as' on your project to a new project name.
    Then you could remove everything except your drums and start over.
    I realize there could be tons of work cleaning up, but just an option.

    If I can ride this topic, why, if we can simply mix along with the midi tracks, do we bother to bounce to audio?
    IOW what are the advantages of the audio over midi?

    There is no need to bounce to audio. Bounce to audio was common before synth freezing. Prior to the freeze synth feature, bounce and archive was the only way to reduce CPU used by the synth. Another reason to bounce a track is if you want a copy to process somehow.
