Got it... extracted it to desktop. updated VLC player, it works!!! Karl, you have a great voice!! I am going to use this and I expect great things from it. I really appreciate all you guys hard work and I hope you profit handsomely from it!!! Happy! Got to finish cleaning a pop up camper for sale tomorrow AM.. then football with no sound and start on this video... What a deal for 9 hours of video. I, for one, have needed an all in one, from the ground up video. I am the proverbial "old dog trying to learn new tricks".. and it ain't easy... well not until now! Thanks again! I urge everyone to buy this to support FBB/Karl.. just well done!! Julien

Well,I only ever use chrome, and have never had a download problem ever, unless the speed of BigPond's adsl gets any slower, then I would classify that,as a problem, but as a browser, chrome is the only one that's has never given the slightest oddity. As far as help videos goes,I still need to watch"all" the X1 ones[all the videos from G3/Craig Anderton]more, before I buy more, but glad to hear a gig has been got, through FBB/Karl,taking the time to help others, congatulations. I'm having the same problem getting the SWA video downloaded, tried 3 times now. Last time I got 2.62GB down and the connection just stopped, of course it took 12 hrs to get that far. Tried IE and FireFox same issue. Using a 6MB cable connection for internet. Seems like a LONG time to bring down a file the is less than 3GB. I have opened a support ticket. Thanks for supporting this Chris.

I will buy these vids cuz I luv FBB's accent. Makes me feel very worldly. But: The streamworks' store is way apple-stupid. I click the buy button, which does not change the arrow to a hand-link, the cart page is displayed, I click the Check Out button and a message is displayed informing me that I must STOP attempting to pay them money to create an account first, instead of just displaying the Create an Account page, which I should not have to do anyway. Dumb. I want to buy something. I will use paypal. I do not want to give them ANY personal information. I just want to BUY the product. I do NOT want another username and password to keep track of. Since I already have given some info to CW I will prolly use their store. So, Streamworks will prolly get less money. And NONE of my info. 24

Sorry you feel that way about the store. We do use an account based system simply because the products (once purchased) are always available for download (i.e authorized links never expire). In order to do this we need our customers to create an account. The only info we keep on file is the user's email address (which is their user ID), a password and a self selected security question. Nothing else is stored. Payment info is not saved either. If using Paypal, or course that is up to Paypal to collect that data. We do have however a form that is required by our Visa/Mastercard firms to collect the required data to process the payment (when paying by Credit Card). However we do not store this data. As for the No Hand cursor on the buy button... well we have never had a complaint - but it was an easy fix and now shows a hard cursor ;) Cheers, Chris

This sounds a little odd. I will check the ticket and see if we can find out what is going on.

Thanks for the feedback and kind words Jan, I'm glad you found it useful. I had a ball putting it together and hopefully that shows in the end result. Thanks for the vote of confidence sycle1, much appreciated. I'm hoping to get a much more detailed contents breakdown posted up over the next couple of days.

For those that have already got it and need to know where to find subjects, or those that just want to see what's included I have at long last managed to get together a more detailed video breakdown. PDF version available here I won't post a full listing here as it's an 11 page document but this is an example of the first two videos............. Chapter One: Setup Audio Interface Setup (0:00:00) · Selecting the driver mode & differences explained · Selecting Drivers · Using friendly names · Setting up the driver preferences & mixing latency settings Audio Interface Options (0:07:24) · Other audio interface settings · Adjusting I/O buffers to achieve a low latency as possible · Overview of the ini file and the more common changes

Just want to say Thanks to FFB (aka Karl) and Chris from SWA! FBB - Great instruction, as usual, clear and concise with your special touches added. Chris - Thanks for going above the call of duty to help me get the video downloaded. This video is a Must Have companion to Sonar X2, no mater what your skill level is, and is a steal for the price. Great Job well done guys. Kind regards, Rick Tucker

Why the price increase from the SWA store? I thought it was close to Cakewalk's price yesterday? Now it's $39.95 at SWA?

Thanks for the support and kind words rtucker55. Glad you liked it. Regarding pricing etc., sloping shoulders here. I'm just the author I have no say or control over pricing and various deals on offer so don't know the answer ref. the special offer finishing on the SWA site. Sorry.

The special introduction price on our store ended yesterday. Is there enough demand for us to continue the introduction promotion price?

Got it for £20 the other day from CW Store - then out of town - only just opened it for a brief shufty. Hey!, that's MY kind of narrator. 8-) Looking f/w to the full 9hrs mini-series. Money well spent.

I bought my copy of Complete Sonar X2 yesterday. I had quite a bit of trouble downloading it at first and I couldn't determine the download link so that I could use a download manager instead of the flash download button at the SWA website. I even raised a ticket, but that can be ignored now because on the fifth attempt of the day the progress bar went a lot faster than previously and didn't get stuck at 184mb like it did earlier. Are there chapters in this video? I don't think that Windows Media Player can read chapters anyway and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a better MP4 player, assuming that this video does have chapters. If the video does not have chapters it would be handy to have the start time of each chapter. I will probably compile that myself from the supplied chapter list PDF. At least then I will know where to fast forward to for a particular chapter. And thanks for the link above for the "Detailed" PDF file, I've got that now too. Oh, and thanks for reducing the price for a bit longer :-) All I need to do now is put aside some time to start watching it lol. cheers edit: I've just read the rest of this topic and seen the references to chapters and players so I'm off to get Quicktime now. A bit frustrating cos Quicktime messes with my head trying to take over everything, the pest that it is...
