Hi,
Sorry for the double mail. I tried to make a video so hopefully the issue can be more clear:
https://youtu.be/HZLczAWfKD4 From the video:
00:02 - 00:04 -> I pressed "play" and "stop". The moment I pressed "stop", the equalizer lookalike levels seen in the Kontakt window all dropped to zero.
00:06 -> Lightly tapped on the volume fader of the Kontakt channel. The levels appeared again.
00:08 - 00:10 -> I pressed "play" and "stop". The moment I pressed "stop", the equalizer lookalike levels seen in the Kontakt window all dropped to zero.
00:12 -> Lightly clicked on the panning icon. The levels appeared again.
00:14 - 00:16 -> I pressed "play" and "stop". The moment I pressed "stop", the equalizer lookalike levels seen in the Kontakt window all dropped to zero.
00:18 -> Lightly adjusted the "pitch blend" wheel in the Kontakt window. The levels appeared again.
00:22 - 00:24 -> I pressed "play" and "stop". The moment I pressed "stop", the equalizer lookalike levels seen in the Kontakt window all dropped to zero.
00:26 -> Moved the "mod wheel" in the Kontakt window up and down. The levels appeared again, and also increased and decreased with magnitude as the "mod wheel" moves - indicating that the mod wheel provides input signal to these levels.
Notes:
- I have already disabled "zero controllers when play stops" option.
- It can be noticed that everytime I pressed stop, only the levels in the equalizer got zero-ed. But the mod wheel level (seen in the lower left corner of the Kontakt window) remained unchanged.
- At the same time, it is the mod wheel that provides input that changes the magnitude of these levels - which is making me very confused. So the mod wheel level is unchanged, but the levels in the equalizer, the input of which is from the mod wheel, got zero-ed when I pressed "stop" -> Is the controller zeroing then working properly or not? Is this a bug??
- Tapping on pitch blend, volume , pan etc. will restore the levels, but only if I do it on the Kontakt channel / Kontakt-midi channel. If I do this in other tracks that belong to other VST, this doesn't work.
I would like to check - if pressing the stop button disables anything else apart from the controllers?
And I have already disabled the controller zero option, but this is still happening - does anyone know or suspect if this is a bug at SONAR's end or with the VST?
For sure I am also checking with the VST for help but they are not as responsive as this forum and I am quite worried that they will immediately claim it's the DAW's fault and that they can't do anything about it.
Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks.
