Swing CAL Script

I'm working on Anji, an old Paul Simon acoustic guitar piece. All MIDI. I'm having trouble getting the CAL script, 'Swing' to do anything noticeable. Tried several DNA settings, to no avail. Any hints?

In my list of Cal files in Sonar there is one called "Swing16.cal".  I just tried it on selected 16th notes and it worked.  When you run the script, it asks you for a swing amount between 10% and 100% and then the scripts does its magic.

What's the benefit of using this over quantize with a swing modifier?
