Symphony #9, 4th movement
Hey all, I just completed my 9th symphony and 13th album. 2.5 years of my life, 5 new compositions. This movement demonstrates numerous techniques: long-form composition, the blending of softsynths and orchestral samples, MIDI sequencing in the event list and staff view and the use of various MIDI controllers to achieve musicality and expression in terms of phrasing. I hope you enjoy listening. It's about 9 minutes and 20 seconds in length. http://www.jerrygerber.com/symph9mvt4.htm Jerry www.jerrygerber.com

At first I thought some of the combinations of acoustic and electronic sounds seemed odd. But as far as the composition, I'm very impressed. Excellent work. Mitch I.

Sounds good. There's a good deal of mismatch between the score and the sounds, but I sympathize, it's hard to keep them in sync. Just to take bass and 'cello -- those octaves are not so easy!

Oops! Turned that up too loud. The dogs are up. Their problem. Excellent work, Jerry! I even heard a bit of Alan Parsons influence starting around the 3-minute mark. Props!

Jerry, that was a blast! Awesome job! Very impressed with how you moved each transition along so smoothly. I could "feel" the tempo changes, but they didn't bother me (as if the music was sliding off pace). And that's another thing: the composition was very tight and neat. For that many instruments to play together "nicely", very well done! you just made a fan!
