Sync and Caching, Record Latency Adjustment

I run two sound cards on my computer:  Asus Xonar D2X & MOTU 828mk3.

I have been manually disabling the Xonar D2X sound card before loading Sonar for ages now and it occurs to me that others are using two sound cards without having to disable one before using Sonar.

I can run Sonar with both sound cards enabled, however I cannot get Sonar to use my MOTU for record latency adjustment.

The Setup Option: Audio \ Sync and Caching \ Record Latency Adjustment (Samples) \ Device is set by default to the Xonar sound card.  I can select the MOTU from the list, however once I do select the MOTU and then hit "apply" the changes do not take effect and the Xonar D2X remains as default device.

Does anyone know how to fix this?  Is this something that could be handled in the ini file?

I think you have to set the motu to the record timing master.
You can try to set the MK3 to the default for windows audio.
If you don't want to use both just uninstall the asus card drivers.

The MK3 is already set as the timing master.

I have only the MOTU selected in the devices options so, the Xonar should not even show, but it does.

How do people do this when they run two sound cards?  I can continue to disable the Xonar, but it would be nice to no longer have to do that.

IIRC this is a display bug. The latency adjustment display only shows the first device in the list, although the changes do relate to the second device.

Test it with a recorded audio from MIDI track. Mine's okay now since my system rebuild but I'm fairly sure that is correct.

I would just uninstall the drivers for the xonar.
If you have it unchecked in the driver tab it shouldn't even be there, it sounds like a bug to me.
