Synchronisation bug while exporting audio from project
Hi. Really like this product, produce most of my music (and some of them were featured in well-known radio shows) with it. But after upgrading to X2 i found really annoying bug (or maybe not clearly explained feature). I am using EMU 1212 Audio card, my usual latency set to 10 ms. It allows me to stay in safe zone for most of my VSTi and at the same time it is fast enough for recording MIDI without sufficient delay. But when i exporting my project to Audio i recieve delay in my file with the size of latency in ASIO, between VSTi sounds and loops in project. A start of VSTi output and beginning of loops is not in time, the are out of synch. The exact amount of this delay is latency of ASIO. Only uncheking Fast Bounce helps to almost eliminate this problem. I decided to move this problem to extreme and have set 100 ms latency. After rendering my project with Fast Bounce option ON i get completely out of synch file. All loops are in time, all VSTi is out of time. As i know, it is not correct. I read somewhere here that Real time bounce is only a whaste of time. The mixing process is equivalent in both casees except time. So it seems it is not true. Or may be i am doing something wrong. Need your help.

I remember seeing a same kind of problem on another thread here very recently. I don't remember the answers given. Are you routing everything through master bus? If nothing else helps, freezing the VSTis should help (?). There are many VSTs, though, which don't like fast bounce.
SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre - Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc. The benefit of being a middle aged amateur is the low number of years of frustration ahead of you.

I usually have 5 to 8 sub-buses for groups of intruments and only after that i rout them to Main Bus .

Try setting BounceBufSizeMsec to zero in Preferences - Audio - Configuration File. It can cause problems if your system is underpowered. As you do not list your specs, I don't know if this includes you. It is helpful to list your specs in your sig if you are asking for help. It saves having to ask lots of questions.

Thank you for answer. I listed my combo in signature, and my system surely not underpowered. It uses i7 2600k processor with plenty of RAM, clocked at 4400 mHz. I think it is bug in Sonar. It is not proper rendering loops or audio WITH vsti in Fast Bounce. And this bug causes serious synch conflicts. So when i read statements of some pro's here that there is no difference between Fast Bounce and usual render, i can quickly show this is not true. There IS difference. P.S. BounceBufSizeMsec is 0, i checked my config file. jb101 Try setting BounceBufSizeMsec to zero in Preferences - Audio - Configuration File. It can cause problems if your system is underpowered. I guess you must have changed that setting at some point, as it's not the default one. I only asked about your system as it needs to be pretty powerful to cope with this setting. Yours certainly looks okay. I had problems in the past with fast bounce, and also time based effects going awry, but this solved it. I'm not sure why it hasn't worked for you, but I guess you'll have to stick to real time bounce. I'm not sure if it can be Sonar, as it works here, now. Perhaps someone else might pipe in.
