Syncing audio tracks to video in Sonar X3....

Hi,
I have 5 wave files that I recorded into a Zoom H6 at a video shoot the other night (Guitar, violin, bass, piano, vocals).

I'm able to magically sync those tracks to the camcorders audio in Premier Pro CC 2015 so that I can strip away the camcorder audio and use the better audio.

The problem is that the software that's tied to Premier, Adobe Audition, doesn't seem to allow me to process the audio files as well as I do in Sonar X3. For example, when I wanted to add some reverb to the vocal track, you right click it to OPEN IN AUDITION. Fine. But it's all by itself and when I add verb it and play it back, you can't tell how much you really need because it's not playing along with the mix of all the tracks, just by itself. I may be doing something wrong, but even if I am, I'd rather use Sonar because I know it better.

Anyone have any ideas how I can take the perfectly synced tracks from Premier, bring them into Sonar to process them, and then get them back into Premier? There's got to be an easier way than doing all of this manual lining up.

Thanks.

I have always mixed first, then synced the master (1 track) in PP. There is an option to render audio in PP, and the tracks should be able to be saved (but never tried this). It just seems simpler to mix to completion and only deal with one sync in PP.

FWIW, Audition has multi-track capability, but a truckload of FX are not available to my 32-bit CS5.5 version that I use in SONAR.

    Thanks.

I wanted to mix the room sound that was recorded on the XY Mic of the Zoom H6 with the tracks, so I figured that I had to mix in PP, especially because I don't know how the tracks (along with the XY Mic room sound track) could sync up in Cakewalk. How do you first sync your tracks in Sonar so you can mix before you bring in the completed mix into PP (where it's so easy to sync to the camera audio)?

I had assumed these files were synced to each other. If you have already synced/stretched them in PP, right clicking on the clip and "Edit Clip in Adobe Audition" automatically "renders and replaces" the file, embedding any stretch changes made. If you simply save as a wave file in Audition, you can then import them into SONAR. My version of Audition does not allow saving broadcast wav files, so if the start times are different, I would actually need to nudge clips to line them up if the start times are not the same. Aligning to a very defined transient a "X" time in the file is how I would typically do this.

If you can save as broadcast waves, be aware that they may import out of view in a track in SONAR, but should all line up as you have them in PP. There is also a setting in SONAR to "Import Broadcast waves to time stamp" to use this.
