Synthmaster One

I just got this. If you are an existing Synthmaster One owner you can get for $23. They call it a crossgrade but you still full Synthmaster functionality. It is basically just a cheap way to get into Synthmaster One for existing owners.

It is really nice and sounds quite different to Synthmaster. Both of them actually sound pretty cool indeed. Synthmaster is a bit under rated in my opinion. I also just bought Korg MS20 and Polysix for my iPad and they sound great. But I also downloaded the free Synthmaster app for iPad and it sounds killer. Quite bit bigger even than the two Korg synths I have on there.

I am using iPad in a Dock situation so it can be sequenced from the computer etc..

I got it when it was released about 2 months ago. This is an amazing synth and if you have SM already it's a great deal. I can't wait for SM3 after messing around with the wavetables in SMOne.

    Hey Jeff,

I also got SM One when it was released as a crossgrade from SM 2.7. It has quickly become one of my favourites although I also recently picked up Z3ta+2 on a special deal and I am getting to really love that too.

Anyway, the real reason for my reply is that I am also using my iPad mini 2 connected to my DAW PC via a MIDI i/f. I am investigating some of the song composition/scales/chords/assistance apps which also work over MIDI but am also interested in the iPad based synths. I got the free version of Gadget which is great but I am looking at other options - full Gadget, iM1, iWavestation and also the ones you mention plus Sunrizer. So much choice! Wondered if you had any thoughts on these?

Also, I wondered whether you have used any of the MIDI/Audio over USB apps that exist on the iPad and can recommend anything? This one seems like a good option --> https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/musicio-audio-and-midi-over-usb/id966003016?mt=8

    Thanks
