System crash with P5 demo Ver 1 and 2

Can somebody please help me?

I have had this same problem in P5 Ver1 demo and I was hoping it would not happen in the new demo. I REALLY want to buy this product but this application, and ONLY this application sends my computer to reset and restarts when I go to File and New, or File and Open...I have reinstalled XP and all that to no avail...

restarts like this are caused by a setting that is telling your computer to restart on a system fault
to find out what that system fault is, 1st you have to turn off that setting
unfortunately I don't recall where exactly it is, but there are a few sites that offer tips on tuning systems for music production and that's a common tip on those sites

secondly these kind of system faults are almost always sound card driver related -- though I don't see how that applies in this case of a file open, unless the driver is reset on those cases

    good luck
