TC Helicon VoiceTone Correct for Recording Vocals?

Hello,

Tried a search and didn't come up with much.

Has anybody tried the TC Helicon VoiceTone Correct for recording?  It seems to be marketed more for live applications, but apparently it has the same D/A A/D converters as found in my Fireface400, which are supposed to be quite decent (although granted the overall quality of the circuit design matters).   I need a preamp and compressor for rock vocals in a home studio, and the TCH box can do that AND be used for some pitch correction as well.  But I'm wondering if anybody has actually tried it for recording and if it is a decent quality solution.  Maybe not as nice as an RNP/RNC setup, but reasonably close enough to be considered quality? Or is it low end like many of the cheaper ART tube preamps, etc?   Also, any concerns regarding the 130ms AD/DA latency introduced by the pedal?

Any insight appreciated.  (Here's the spec sheet:

I use a TC Konnect (same overall company) and it is very nice - conversion (yea, they use the same chips as RME and well done electronics around it) is good.  TC has been doing highquality conversion at least since the finaliser days.  It should be up to the job.  The Impact preamps are good, too.  Better than the ART tubes (if the mp is any guide).  Don't know about the RNP stuff.

The latency looks to be a problem, but might not be for your purposes if they have some kind of monitoring.

I think their was a discussion on one of these boards about one of the TC products - take a look.  The guy liked it a lot.  You should also check on the TC forums.  There should be some good info there.

Okay, regarding the sub-topic of latency, my mistake.  I just checked the specs again and there was a leading decimal point that my old eyes didn't catch.  So the total latency is actually 1.3ms, which is essentially real-time for human purposes.  So that one aspect is now basically a non-issue.
