TH2...Always Clipping,

I just recently started using TH2.

No matter what I do, my track and master meters are always clipping.

What am I missing.

Check gain staging from left to right inside TH2. Check Line In levels (top left) aren't too high, if they are, fix that by adjusting the level of the guitar signal into the PC. Then turn everything in TH2 off except the first unit. If Line Out is clipping, that first unit is outputting too high. Fix it, then move to the next unit to the right. Repeat until you've enabled all the units and Line Out is not clipping.

Thanks man...it seems so freaking obvious and yet it escapes me.

There is an input adjuster from low to high, if you select the Master button, next to the TH2 symbol. That may help, then click the IN LEV button, 3 along from the TH2, set that from your audio interface.

Yeah, I did that Scoot. I adjusted the interface to the popup, which is looking for "Green" setting. I never went above half in the green section, and yet I get the clipping.

I will work on gain staging and then I will try it again.

Please also check your gains throughout your signal chain (inputs->everything prior to TH2)... you do not want to be clipping anywhere in that chain or the signal will already be clipped before it hits the next stage.

If you want massive gain at the end of that signal chain, that is what the volume knob is for
