Thanks for listening..... Yeah, I find that most of the music I listen to is like that..... leave it for a while and come back after a long absence and it really sounds good.
I do tend to wear things out when I'm working on them from the acoustical "in my ear" point of view.... so getting away from the song for a time is the perfect prescription.

Now that's what I call Christmas Country Music! It's got your classic twang! So WHAT have you been up to Herb if you haven't been making Christmas music :) ???? BTW love the tune!

Hey...thanks everyone for coming in and having a listen. Both those who have heard this before and those listening for the first time. TAP.... to specifically answer what have I been doing if not recording christmas music...... this has been a slower year for writing. I have a few new things and a couple on the stove simmering. I found out earlier in the late summer that some of my music is now being used in film and TV so I have started working on writing more cues. Essentially keeping a lower profile on the net and around here....I don't post too much new music since no one wants to hear a 30 second made for TV cue......... it's not that I'm trying to hide, just hanging out chilling out. If you look further down this page.... I have a song down there somewhere called Heaven's Angel that was an experiment in writing. Thanks for asking.

Nice! I really liked this. Just completely solid and "pro" in every way from composition to performance to arrangement to mix. The guitars are a standout of course, but I also really liked those piano lines, particularly the one leading into the guitar solo.
