TTS-1 Problem

Hi

I've re-installed Sonar Home Studio to a brand new computer.  I'm now trying to play Midi Files using the Soft Synth TTS-1.  Problem is, when I load it, there is only Piano 1 sound for every Midi Channel. (Actually Midi 10 is Standard Drum Set).

Can anyone please tell me how to load the GM set so I have a different Instrument on each channel?  I just can't figure this out.

When I check to see which GM sound bank is loaded it shows 'No preset'. If I click on no preset, it seems to show Reset to Factory Default but clicking this only brings up the No preset description in the window.

Is this because I've deleted the sound bank of something?

Thanks,

Paul

If you go to Sonar 'Edit > Preferences > MIDI Devices > Outputs', and uncheck everything, TTS-1 will open as the default GM player when you open a GM file.

If you have a device already selected for output, TTS-1 will open in multi-timbral mode, but you will have to manually select each sound in each channel.  Click on the 'Edit' button at the top of each channel in the TTS-1 UI to access the preset lists.

What kind of MIDI file did you play? Some MIDI files insert bank / prog change command written in each track at the beginning of the song. They may change the program as you play the song.
