TTS-1 Tutorial ?

Hey folks,

TTS-1

Rather than describe a problem I have with TTS-1, it's better to say that I need a basic tutorial on TTS-1. There are various forum posts on TTS-1 but nothing with STEP by STEP , ...  ANy pointers, links ? Thanks, John

Hi there, Happy New Year ...

Judging from the look of TTS, that is, what the TTS mixer "implies", I assume the TTS is capable of being a band in a box, offering multi instruments, all playing at once, and each assigned to a different track (?).

In one song, on one track I have acoustic bass running from a midi pattern. I managed, with the awkward interface, to change the voice to another bass type, but the TTS always reverts back to the original acoustic bass. There is nothing, IMO, intuitive about the TTS interface which woud allow me to control what voice I want to KEEP for the track in question. If I understand how to control one track--it shoud be easier!--I assume I can then use the synth for multi instruments on separate tracks.

Make sure that each track that uses a different instrument of TTS is set to a different MIDI channel.  You can select a different patch in each track and not bother opening the TTS GUI.

If a patch keeps changing to something unintended, look in the Event View and see if there is a default program change being triggered.  If so, just delete that event.

This assumes you are using a Cakewalk sequencer.
