TTS-1

I have been playing with the TTS-1 and i noticed the 16 instrument banks on it but can find no info on how to use it. I am guessing that it is possible to use multiple instruments to create an ensemble sound. When i change the instruments it only plays the sound of the instrument in bank 1. what am i doing wrong or what is the purpose of all of those banks?

    TTS-1 can accept input from 16 different MIDI tracks, but each track has to use a different channel. If you don't use different channels, they'll all sound like piano, the default patch.
    Channel 10 is reserved for drums.
