Tablature

Any way to import tablature? Like from an askii file? I see there is an export but haven't found an import.

not to my knowledge.  you can import standard MIDI files, but not tab.

Ya that's almost like the dude who thought there was a way to generate sheet music from a CD.
Tab is a TEXT diagram. I'm sure if someone took a couple of years they could code it out.

You'd think if Sonar can export it, it could import it too. It's pretty simple.
Tabedit an do it but it's $60.00

but there's not a standard format for tab.  tabedit's file format is not the same as sonar's.  MIDI is a standard, tab is not.

You can import ASCII into Guitar Pro and then export that as a MIDI..Don't know how the results would be though.
Unfortunately you can't in Powertab which is free.
