Also TouchOSC for iOS and Xotopad for Windows. I'm using Xotopad and like it.

I use the limited (free) version of V-Control too, but it is a bit too control limited for my needs so I have an old Studiomix that I use for the transport controls only using V-control for its Sonar display.
I'm told the paid version covers these issues, but I'm too poor to buy it these days...
Maybe Gustabo can speak more of it if he has the paid version...?

If you get the Pro (paid) version, would you mind posting some things?
Such as, when you use it to display the actual Sonar screen, does the image become touch capable?
Though I'm not a big fan of touch tech, it would be a handy way to have very complete remote control... More so than v-controls console alone...

I paid $49 for the full version of V Control. Could NOT get it to work properly. Spent a lot of time trying everything their support told me to try. Never did get it working. Finally gave up. Total waste of $49 and my time. Sad, I REALLY wanted it to work, too.

V-Control Pro works for me, though I mostly use it to control Sonar's console rather than plugins, Another possibility is Microsoft's (free) Windows Remote Desktop application, though that drops the PC screen back to the login screen when the main display is redirected to the remote display. Still quite useful in all kinds of ways though. Personally I'd like Cakewalk to come up with a remote tablet application of their own, along the lines of Apple's Logic remote controller.

I'd like to be able to use the AC-X app. It has 16 faders on one page! Don't know if it works with SONAR. I've emailed them about it with no reply as yet. I like the look of the GUI

Just be careful with TouchDAW.
Really nice App, but it seems the rtpMIDI driver causes my PC to go all Blue Screen on me. I run Win 7 x64 and the moment I enable the midi driver the pc starts crashing. Very disappointing as I was about to buy a tablet for this. Anyone else having this issue?

I run rptMIDI without issue. There are other drivers you might be able to use if it causing issues for you. Copperlan comes to mind. ipMIDI (not free) is another.

I run rptMIDI here with V-Control Free with no problems...
Other than the limited use granted by the free version.
What kind of problems are you seeing?

Hey Keni, I tried that exact same thing before. rtpMIDI with V-Control free, can't get V-Control to control SONAR X3e. What settings in SONAR preferences do I use?

Hi Tony... I'll look tonight when I have power... It's simple but could be confusing as you have to set two programs for it to become available to Sonar... Keni

tonydean Thanks buddy!
Hi Tony... Here's what I see... Installed Bonjour Installed rptMIDI Installed neyrink Open rptmidi Rptmidi my sessions checked for the DAW I am running and enable checked. Mine shows port 5004 Local and bonjour name is the same as the session And anyone can connect to me... Run neyrink Open a sonar Preferences MIDI Devices Make sure vcontrol and your DAW are checked in both in/out Control surfaces Setup new Use Mackie 1 template Select vcontrol for both its input/output and WAI is checked At this point I found I needed to reboot Sonar before it worked... In vcontrol, you need to select the DAW as well as Sonar and you should be done. While checking this for you I found it not working in SPlat so I had to do some of this to get it working. It was already working in X3e so I guess I haven't had to use it lately? But it does now run in both... I hope I didn't miss any details for you... Let me know if this helps... Keni

I'm not sure why you need to disable it....unless it's WLAN?
