Take It All
https://soundcloud.com/bats-brew/take-it-allthis is another song i'm starting to re-mix... this was released on my 1st album (album label folded, now album is out of print, and i want to re-release it) so i will re-mix it, looking for suggestions on tweaks. keep in mind, this is a mastered finished product, not a pure mix, i don't have a pure mix to post.

Nice tune. A bit more vocal IMHO.

as you know this is pretty near perfect from a guitar point of view. vocals would prob come up in a remix take some high eq off the instruments i think a lot of the presence is from the verb which sounds digital? (mastering verb/eq) but really it's trying to polish a diamond

It's got great energy. Gritty, excellent guitar work. What direction do you want to change with the mix and feel that you have there? It's sounds great. Craig

hi mgh, yes, vox up.... high off instruments, i'm hearing harsh from 2-4.5k..... verb was a roland vs machine reverb off of their proprietary fx cards, it was probably a room or plate, can't remember... i'm using Waves TrueVerb for most of my reverbs this go around.....

hey Bats, again enjoy the FANTASTIC guitars, melodies/ideas and vocals. personally I find your mixes good always. the only thing I can think of to improve your music is, to my ears there's too much great melodies, awesome guitars and vocals and my simple ears can't handle it....they want just 1 hook, a great guitar and a simple construction of the song I can easily remember, a quiet/calm refrain here and there would make the chorus or high energy part come out more imo. again, wish I had 1% of your music talent..

Just to +1 the above - more vocals please. And yeah, maybe reduce those hi-mids to help smooth things out a bit. But also as Sheanes said, to only have the ability to sing and play like that in the first place...

Wow man...that's pretty...just getting into the intro. Hmmm...I think I'd prefer the delay off the lead vocal and use just a room or something. Nice...band kicking in...love the guitars. Vox delay seems fine now but I'd still change it for the intro. Lead vox seems a little buried right when it all kicks in. Man...that's jammin...love it. That bass line is awesome...great parts. Great rock and roll. Is stuff like this ever on the radio now?...sure beats what I usually hear. Thumbs up. Hahaha!..next song is starting...work it out. Wow...love it man.

hey csw, direction to change? i'm thinking a less saturated guitar sound, more acoustic blending, more kicking drums, louder vox. i figure, since i'm remixing it, why not make a new version?
