Take Lane Channel Branch - Good idea?

it would be GREAT if we could get a "channel branch mode" for take lanes as well, as we have now for the sends.

when activating "take lane branch" the main track could be placed at fader one, and that all "take lanes"-tracks line up from there.

having this function would make it SOO easy to record to a specific take lane on the 700c. and adding more take lanes would just pop up the next fader in line. ...

a smart way of creating new take lanes on the 700c would be just to select the next empty track in the take lane line.

Haven't seen the program yet, but it sounds like a logical idea to me.

I don't know how it works in this forum, but I think there is a place for posting Feature Requests that I do know gets looked at.  Perhaps this might be better posted (or additionally posted) there.

    I like this!

I'll add it to the feature request today and try to gather all the other suggestions in other recent threads.

This is a good idea - but implementing something like this could be problematic for me. If this is done, let it be a choice whether or not you want your faders changing with each take. IMO this is something that should be should be toggled on/off. I don't think I would want to be doing loop recording and lose sight of my other tracks at the same time. I suppose sometimes it would be okay...

    ah yes, for sure!
this function hopefully would work just as today's channel branch works :)

if you're not familiar with this functions check this out:

in other words: you would have to choose going into this mode for it to activate

    Loptec -

Thank you for pointing that out! I never knew about channel lock/branch! Wholeheartedly agree this would be great for take lanes!!

Hey I'm updating the vs700 master list and before I add your idea I just want to make sure: if you activate the LAYER function (SHIFT + TRACK) on a track containing LANES, will it then spread the lanes across all channels?
