Take Lanes

I don't know if this has happed to anyone else. I do a couple of taskes which go into lanes. I am happy with this. Next to the lane you are able to put text in that will give you an idea of maybe what you might want and don't want. I do this and everything seems to go well. I play the song I do some other adjust and all miy text is missing. It is not a huge issue but an issue none the less.

I noticed something very annoying today. I have been recording guitar solos, so we have been dong multiple takes, may 5 or six. I mute the takes I don't want to hear. Decided to do a bit of mixing, froze several tracks with multiple takes (muted takes) and when I un froze those tracks, it unmuted the previously muted takes.  The first few times, I thought I did something, then I did an expeirment and muted takes, froze it, then unfroze and the takes were no longer muted, so I know its not me!  LOL

Anyone else notice this or experienced this?

    Tracey,
Not that "specific" problem, but lanes are "flaky".
I would "bounce to track" when done comping, bounce to a separate track.
Then you can archive the "lanes" version track.
I have a couple of projects that I've comped the vocals, based on your experience I'll now "bounce to track" just to be sure.

    Little OT but:
Personally, I prefer multiple takes the way they used to be-I mean what the heck was wrong with that?

I actually liked the way the Sonar 5 dealt with multiple takes and automation, less navigating/clicking and used less screen real estate etc. Could just right click, rebuild lanes etc. Didn't bother me one bit. I don't hate the new version, i am getting used to it. However it seems to take me longer to do the same things as before.  No big deal. Progress i guess...:)
