Take lanes automatically open
This is an undesired effect and I'm not sure how it keeps happening. I am hitting a combination of keys by mistake and suddenly the take lanes on EVERY track opens up! I can't figure out what sequence of keys I'm hitting to cause this so I can deduce how to undo this. I have over 400 tracks in my template so it is very annoying to have to close the take lanes on every track one by one. I've searched for this "feature" but can't find any reference to it. What is this magic sequence and how can I reverse it? This is Sonar X3 Pro. Thanks. Steve

I use Take lanes a lot, but have never encountered it. How about just closing the project without saving and reopening it as soon as you hit the combination of keys by mistake and all lanes opened? Will it fix the issue? You'll lose edits you made after the last save, though. Personally, I want to know what combinations of keys can expand/collapse all lanes at once. That would be useful for me.

I've noticed that some or all Pre-X2 projects that used layers will open with all lanes showing, but I've not had it happen with a newer project or any time after opening a project.

Can you ALT-Z to undo the view change? Edit: Sorry, This does not seem to expand or collapse take lanes. I responded while away from my system and spoke before checking... Lee

Looks like ALT-Z doesn't collapse them (I was away from my system when I responded...) I am not sure what is causing it but... Control+A to select all and then holding Control while clicking the Expand/Collapse Take Lanes Button on one of the tracks in the track view quickly closes all of them for me. This works for me in both x3e and SPlatD. Lee

Thanks for posting this. I tried the same method (Quick Grouping) sometime during the X3 period (forgot which update it was) but it didn't work at that time. Come to think of it, maybe it was already possible but I just failed to see it because I normally work in the Track view with Auto Track Zoom enabled.

This certainly did the trick! Thanks for the response. Just wish I could figure out what the heck I did in the first place so I can avoid it in the future.

This doesn't work for me in Splat. Any suggestions to make it work?

Just tested OK with a new project containing 6 audio tracks running SONAR Platinum 23.6.0.24 Maybe some info about the project and SONAR version would help. I am running Win10 but I doubt that matters.

More than likely another backwards compatability issue. Oh joy.
