Talk About Feeling Old!

NOW THIS IS COOL! Here's my old boss on bass, keyboard player, and a few of the guys I used to work with in the Air Force. I was a couple years younger than them mind you  but to see them with their hair and no gray really cracks me up! The director was a great guy and the keyboard player/ arranger in my show band. I learned so much from them! The guitar player is Rick Whitehead and a great player! They are ALL great players!

P.S. I don't know if I've mentioned this before but Mod Bod was also my boss in the USAF Band. He made me the player I  Am today!


LET'S GET HIM!        

The Airmen of Note called down to the band at MacDill AFB in Tampa back somewhere around 1975 and asked the ranking staff if I wanted to come up for an audition.  Unfortunately, I didn't double on String Bass and the honchos told them as much.  Fact is, they hardly used string bass and I probably could have picked it up fast enough to do the gig.  Ugggghh.  I was a little ticked.
