Talk To Me
Finally getting back in the studio. This tune includes my new Taylor 710CE. I took the tour of the Taylor factory when I was in San Diego a few weeks ago. That’s not why I bought this guitar but rather because it rose to the top of all the ones I tried out after I got back. I wrote this song about mature love… the kind that endures after all the passion of youth when the important things in life finally become apparent. I also got out the mandolin for this one... so forgive me Scotty. Daryl TALK TO ME http://darylcrowley.com/free_songs/

Wood and steel... Those folks over there at Taylor make some Beautiful instruments! So what would you like to talk about? Man my dogs are barking, I mowed the lawn this evening, and not in the way that I enjoy either... Oh and that rash? It's back :-( And I had eggs for breakfast, so it's going to be a rough night, and OH WAIT! It's your song title? Oh, sorry for over sharing. I really like your drum sound here, everything else sounds good too. For this style, I may pull that snare back just a weence... but then again, maybe not. Mandolins are fun.
Sittin downtown in a railway station one toke over the line.

Hey, Daryl, Great country rock song with a nice theme that makes for a very pleasant listen, and the new Taylor sounds fantastic! I really enjoyed the smooth vocals and the harmony guitar solos. Nice one, buddy! Bob

Hey Daryl, This is great! The Taylor sounds superb and the mando kicked my butt! Well, at least you apologized for that. LOL I love my Taylor's. Got me a new 814ce a few weeks ago but haven't recorded with it yet...just enjoying sitting down and playing it. Keep these gems coming!

Thank you all, so glad you liked it. It's not your typical rock or country tune, but then I'm nothing if not atypical. It's my curse, I so un-commercial, I like to think I'm ahead of my time I appreciate the comments. Come on Scotty, if you had never played the mandolin (which is not true) any fiddle player of your caliber would by default be a kick-ass mandolin player! Daryl

Really nice writing and recording there Daryl... I have really started to get into more acoustic stuff since I picked up a Taylor guitar and a mandolin ..... nice job.

Steve, Mark - Thanks so much guys. Herb.. The Taylor is a nice production instrument, they are one of the best deals in production guitars. Far far more consistent than Gibson, but the rare well made Gibson is also a treat. There were guitars I liked better, but they were twice the money. This guitar listed for $3K but it was two years old and in flawless condition so it was only $2100. It's a lot of guitar for that price, I like it really well. Very even tone across all strings. I'm still learning how to record it. My next song is much better as I used two condenser mics. Daryl
