Tap Tempo pedal for Midi Keyboard controller?

Anyone know of any tap tempo pedals in existance? I use an Edirol PCRM80 keyboard controller but want to be able to tap out the tempo somehow... I have one of the dial CC's set for tempo, which is also easy to do but tap tempo is way more intuitive and easy to use on the fly...

 You may be able to use a 3rd party midi controller like the ( Lexicon MRC ) to convert a damper pedal cc input to something usable. You could use any on off pedal that way.

My Edirol PCRM80 is pretty good at being able to configure ANY button, knob, fader, to any CC function... Maybe I'll try to track down what CC controller would be for tap tempo and try to set it up myself... That's one thing I missed about the Triton, the tap tempo button... Ableton Live was able to do it too, I just configured a key on the laptop to do it...  Trying to stick to hardware synths for now tho...

I have a BOSS footswitch I can try to use too, I guess...
