Tascam FW-1884 w/ Pro Tools 10 on IMac

Hello everyone,
This is my first time on one of these and I really hope someone can help me. My boss just got a Tascam FW-1884 and asked if I could make it work with Pro Tools on a IMac. I said sure, even though I'm not a super know-it-all pro. I downloaded the FW-1884 Mac Os Drivers V.160 Mac Installer and installed it, made the firewire connection from my computer to the interface, and now I'm stuck cause I've been researching about this and it seems like the only way it would work would be through MIDI and I can only record a submix into a two track interface. I'm super lost and confused. I appreciate any help. Thanks.
