Tassman and Sonar 3 Producer

Hey..

Wondering if anybody is into the Tassman 3...I'm thinking of purchasing it soon...any compatability issues with Sonar??? Gina24 soundcard?? Pros and Cons of this software?? Any suggestions or recommendations would be appreciated...

Thanks in advance.

Tassman sounds are very cool, but cpu intensive. And I've only tweaked sounds in the library. It's incredibly programmable, but learning the program seems like a major task.

I have used Tassman 3 and Sonar3 a bit. I have not had problems so far. Tassman is a lot of work to learn, if you want to build you own synths.... but there are a lot of great ones right out of the box. Also, there is a user area on their website where people download some of their creations for free.

I've got Tassman 3, and haven't had any problems with S3. RJT is right, the process of synth building is pretty involved. I've dabbled a bit, but never got past the one-oscillator synth tutorial, and a weird bowed thing that never quite worked right. My favorite feature of Tassman is the xylophones, vibes, and electric pianos. There isn't another softsynth that even comes close to Tassman on those types of instruments. Its vintage synth models are also very good, but i wish Applied Acoustics would release some downloadable modules of different oscillators, filters, or other weird stuff. I mean it is modular, isn't it? Just my $.0.02.
