Tears out of the rain.

http://sclk.co/s6u9ma
I just re recorded and remixed this with my new MIDI skills. Lol. Added some SI Strings and a couple of drum trax
Criticism welcome.
EG I'm trying to cut some guitar (to keep things changing) just because it goes all the way thru but can't think where.

Glen, this song has come a long ways since I first heard it.  I liked it then, and I like it even better, now.  It seems more open and balanced.  Your vocal sits on top of this nicely.  Experience makes a big difference.  Good job.

    All the best,

This is a really nicely put together and sang piece. Kind of sad though.

    Thanks guys.
Starise, I think "sad" is how I best get in the mood.
Sorry GH, I didn't see you had posted. No, this was an existing song that needed Drums bass and strings.

Glenn, this is a cool bit of work. The one thing that I was a bit thrown by was that the drums would often interfere with the guitar, not tonally, but rhythmically, and make it seem as if the guitar player had stumbled. I am not sure if its a timing issue, or a compositional issue. Other than that, nice job. - Shad

    Thanks Fox.
Were you referring to the noodle/rhythm or the lead?
This conflict probably comes from doing the noodle/rhythm guitar first (I have a rather syncopated style which complicates it).
Perhaps I should duck the guitar under the drums as well as the vox?

That explains it. I would perhaps bury it a bit and see of that helps.

Glenn Your beautiful vivid voice is what I hear so then I do not care so much about the comp but Shad is probably right in some places. Nice work

Cool tune, your voice reminds me of my late friend Alvin, who was an incredibly talented player/singer... I noticed you have a BF DeluxeReverb... I have a 1964 DR that has the sweetest tone...

    Glenn

I like the arrangement. The finger style guitar sounds great. The vocals seem a tad loud to me. It seems to dominate everything. Your vocals are good just a little louder then everything else. other than that this is a great song.
