Tell me this can't be true...

I used GTP2 for years, and figured 3 would be better than 2, right? So I sprung for the upgrade and everything looks sexier, and after I play with it for a while I'm sure it'll work, and hopefully there will be things I cand do with 3 that I couldn't do with 2.
But!
In 2 I could apply effects in realtime, with cool little meters and whatnot showing me what I did, and if I didn't want to tweak around too much there were presets. Somebody, please tell me that I've missed something, and that effects can be applied realtime, while the track to be effected is playing. Maybe I missed it, I just installed the thing, but something ain't right.
One other thing: Amplitude is a real pain in the neck. Oh, it works (but not in realtime!) and eventually I'll have some fun with it for sure. But it's supposed to work for ten days after installation, but everytime I use it I get a real annoying nag screen. Give me a break.

I can apply effects in real time in the mix view just like I could in GTP2. I can't help you with Amplitube. I never got into it.
