All this speculation is silly, and hats off to cakewalk on their social experiment to get us all talking about it!
The truth will soon become clear. The fact that very senior members of the Gibson corporation are so actively involved in this community gives me absolute faith that we are not about to be left to hang out to dry. Good on them, bring on the future, if the product roadmap was dead the lack of activity would let us know. I think its safe to say we are far from that.
You never know, a corporate with the clout of Gibson may just have done a deal with Microsoft or something to make sure Sonar is THE daw on PC's ala Logic on Mac.....whatever it is I welcome it with open arms

Don't we all but that needs to be balanced between doing actual work using the product to make money, and hours spent searching for speculation on here

What a good thread to speculate in!
My prediction: Mac has Garageband, Windows 10 needs something similar. My prediction is some version of SONAR will be in Windows 10's big summer update as Window's "Garageband."

I am waiting for the stuff Cakewalk haven't told us. Remember, Cakewalk have always stated "announcements" - plural. So the lifetime updates offer is only one of many announcements..

I've asked Cakewalk to wait for June 3 to announce the big news since that's my birthday. They said OK so you'll all be getting new emails with the revised date. Be on the lookout for the big announcement that the big announcement will be a few days late.
