Tempo Change Causes Slow Scroll in Track View

I'm using Sonar Producer X1c on a 1 year old Intel 8 core PC, 12 GB RAM, Windows 7 64 bit professional.  It has been running pretty well for the last year.

I created a new project this week. This song uses a constant tempo change from 75BPM to 120BPM, over the 3:30 length of the song.  I drew this tempo change as an upward line on the tempo map.  I have about 20 audio tracks.  I soon noticed a scrolling problem in track view.  When scrolling, the clips display slowly and in chunks.  Same problem occurs when zooming in or out.  It makes it very hard to work on a project.  The problem is only in track view, not the other screens.

I created a test copy of the project and removed the tempo change(s), then everything was fine again.  I searched the forums and didn't see this problem listed.  I'm putting it out there in case anyone else is trying to figure it out.  Also I'd like to find out if anyone knows of a bug fix for this.

Thanks

Thanks, good idea, but didn't do anything for this problem.

PS.  In addition to the slow scrolling problem, I also found that most of my audio clips don't display correctly if I have a fade on the clip.  Adding a fade, or moving the fade around causes changes in the whole waveform display ... for example a nice waveform can morph into something like a fish skeleton just by adding a small fade at start or finish.  I tried to recompute the picture but that did nothing.

I've also updated to the latest video driver for my Nvidia Geforce 210.  This didn't resolve anything.

PSS.  Today I updated to Producer X1d.  This didn't resolve the issue either.
