Tempo Sync Bug?

Hello,

I've inserted a new tempo midway through a project. For some reason though, when I record a patch that is tempo synced (in this case, patches Omnisphere and Evolve Mutations), it plays at the previous tempo. However, upon playback it is correct. Very bizarre. I've even tried recording a few bars into the new zone.

Anyone else experienced this, or have any insight?

Thanks

I am guessing that the tempo change message is not being read prior to the recording. If you start recording at a point after you insert the tempo change, the now time will not cross the tempo change message location, and thus Sonar will not see the tempo change and will have to default to the project tempo. If you then play back from a time prior to the tempo change the now time will pass over (read) the tempo change message and the change will occur. Try starting the recording process a measure earlier in the project than the the point where the  tempo change is inserted and see if it makes a difference.

Thanks for the advice. I tried coming in a bar earlier, but same problem. However, I noticed that it reverts to the correct tempo sync one bar into the zone with the new tempo. I can't insert the new tempo a bar earlier, because it will completely thow off the video sync.

I usually now score to pic in Logic, but thought I would fire up X2 for a session. Why? Because honestly, I just can't away from how simple Sonar is to work with. Granted I am bias (been on Cake since Pro 3.0), but it' always been good to me for everything non-video.

I'll see if support has any suggestions.

    Thanks again!
