Tempo problem

Hi Everyone,

Was wondering if any one can help me with the following problem:

I'm trying to set a constant tempo within my song. Since drawing in automated tempo changes in my song I now want to reset the tempo value to the same value all the way through the track. I've tried entering a value in the the master tempo button at the top off the track assuming this would reset the automated track so it plays the same tempo all the way through, but it dosen't.
I've tried drawing a straight line on the automated track but it is proving difficult to set an accurate constant tempo all the way through the song.

Thanks very much Rich that's sorted it! I had previously tried what you suggested but because the shaded area dosen't disappear when you erase I assumed it wasn't erasing!
