Tempo sync problem from FL Studio

I'd like to use the built in metronome in Sonar with my projects exported from FL Studio. However I set the same value in Sonar and it starts to get off. This used to work for me but I reinstalled my system and it's not. Does the time code affect this? I have no idea really any advice would be appreciated.

    Hey there-

    Two things to check:

1- read the sticky on the beta VST adapter, which has specific info about time drift fixes for VSTi issues (although you can use FL within Sonar as a DXi,so...). You may want to consider it if it sounds like it addresses your concerns.

2- What version of FL are you using? There was an update a while ago to version 6 that addressed some funky synch issues with Sonar. Just another thought...

Also, in general if you can provide as much info about your software versions/system, always easier to try and help. For instance, what version of Sonar? How are you using FL and Sonar (you mention exporting from FL; does that mean you are taking stereo audio file out of FL and dumping into Sonar, or using as a virutal instrument in Sonar). Stuff like that...

    Good luck!

Hey thanks! I'm going to check on the update for FL Studio. Right now I have FL Studio XXL 6.0.0 so i'm thinking theres an update. I'm still using Sonar 4 also. Yeah I don't use FL Studio as a plugin in Sonar, instead I work in FL Studio and then export as wav files. I might try using it as a plugin though, I think that may fix a few things I'm having trouble with.

Hey man! I always knew you could use FL Studio as a "plugin" in Sonar but never tried it. I just updated my FL studio to 6.0.8 and tried using it as a plugin in sonar, and WOW! This is sweettttt.

Good deal- enjoy! Much more fun and flexible to use it as a plugin. Now you can tweak in FL until the very last moment before you export your mix in Sonar, and synch should be good with 6.0.8 (which was indeed the update that addressed the synch issues with Sonar). Happy trails!
