Tempo track!! we need one.

One thing that I think sonar should have immediately is a tempo track. The dedicated tempo view is great but we also need a Tempo track that gives visual feed back of Tempo changes instantly. Does anyone feel the same ? A chord track and meter/key track will be great as well. Programming will be a much greater musical experience that way really.

I think it's a good idea. It could behave like an automation track. That way you could use automation points and curves instead of the rather cumbersome drawing tools that exist currently; it would make copying, pasting and moving tempo events and information around easier as well. You could use a fader to ride tempo in real time, if that made sense for some reason.

You could also have its display instantly toggle-able with a keyswitch, like the video track.

Good idea. I would like that it behaved as a automation track as well.

Yea that will be cool for some reason. It would be even more great if selecting the track opens up all needed tempo and metronome options in the inspector View. Hope the bakers consider this. It will be really nice. And they can also integrate it well with melodyne's tempo matching options.

We should really have the option of enabling additional color coded rulers/tracks for tempo, time signature and markers. I would prefer rulers which stayed fixed at the top rather than tracks which scrolled out of view. Unless they implemented my previous idea of being able to pin tracks in position.

I've been wanting a new paradigm of tracks that can be based on markers, tempo, comments, song sections, time signature, etc.

Pin tracks to position. Hmm that sounds cool. But worried it might create some bugs or issues in the track view. If not it will be great. IMO chords, meter/key can be added as rulers but tempo as a Tempo track, with easy melodyne integration.
I don't have any issue with current markers though. Guess they are fine the way they are. But bakers do always surprise with new enhancements.

And we should be able to "pull" Melodyne 4's adjusted tempo map into the track... the current system is very clugy.  If S1v3 can do it, SPlat should be able to.... Plllleeeeeaaaseeee!

+1 there!   It's not what the OP requested, but it sure would be slick.    Besides, Noel already commented in a previous thread that it certainly is doable.    Here's hoping it's in one of those Spring updates!

I would also welcome such a tempo track.
But even more I would like fixed chord and marker tracks/rulers, because they could improve the clearness and visibility of the song a lot.
