Tempo-synced Effects?

What's the deal with supposed tempo-synced effects?

The Cakewalk Tempo-Delay doesn't detect or follow project tempo as best I can determine.
Playing with TAL Delay it seems to detect tempo but not tempo-changes.

I'm looking for a dual delay that syncs to tempo. What's the trick?

Yeah...Sonitus is the one I have used...I never have used the Cakewalk VST's...so I might have spoke out of ignorance...

Have you tried setting "register as tempo based effect" in the plugin properties in the plugin manager?
