Tequila Sunrise

This is my take on the Eagles classic.
I ran across it on my hard drive (from like 2000) and dittled a little with it.  Kind of in the muzak vein I guess. Oh well:)

Anyway. Here ya go: http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=11712219

(I changed the title to 'Busch lite sunset' for various reasons)

Hey Tim, this sounded really nice, but I kept waiting for you to sing.  That never happened, and it was still good.  Great track, and a really sweet mix.

An Eagles song with no vocals is "herassy..." Still good though, I wish I could see how you do the mix and get it to sound like this. Have you had any formal training (recording/mixing/engineering) Or just practice, skill and talent?

Thanks Philz and Band19. Is that Robbay. I get confused.
Thanks for the PM Philz. think I got it figured out.

"Formal training". Hmm? I guess so. Engineering school once a long long time ago in LA. Chief engineer in a couple studios out there. Run/Ran my own studio too. But, mostly just doing it for like 30 years. For my stuff, I pretty much mix as I track. In other words, I think it may be more the arrangement that you're hearing than "the mix". Thanks Robbay...

    Hi Tim,

Really great playing but it's the mix/production ( whatever you want to call it ) that grabs my attention. Just top notch.

Wish I knew how you do that. Great, great, great.

Chet would be proud of ya!

Love this kind of muzak, especially when there's some live instruments, not just midi.

    Thanks,

The Eagles are one of the most overrated bands of all time. However, I thought Tim did a really great job with this rendition. The tones and the textures were really nice. It's a great change of pace to not hear someone hack up the vocals. Good job, better than the original.

Hey Mark. Hah.. Yea, I know this one was done on  'Pro Audio 9' because when I import wrk files to Sonar, it goes into offset mode. And, that's what happened. To me, that was the good ole days:) Playing every night, sequencing every day..
    Thanks.

Thanks Mr. Ed. Where'd the pic go? I didn't get to see it....

Hey Tim, the mix and the production is excellent.  But like everyone else I want vocals and it does feel slighty cheesy, this might be The Eagles fault though!.

Hi Tim - Yeah I haven't been around too much lately.  I've been busy applying my new mixing skills to my older songs.  I hadn't done a new project in about a year.  Close to finishing one now though.  But I listen to your stuff and realize how much of an amateur I am.  You are such a good artist and producer.

Well recorded. Sounds great here, some of the soundscape was nicely rendered. Kudos.
