Before you can post any of your work in this forum you have to listen to other forum members songs and comment on their songs/music. You need a minimum of 25 posts and then you can post yours for comments. That is the rules for being in this forum and it shows you are interested in others music and not just your own. Hope to hear your test soon.

Actually, any forum member on any part of the forum needs 25 posts before they can post a link. It's a device to stop spammers, nothing to do with the Songs forum. Besides, the guy's got over 3000 posts..

Well, I wish my "tests" sounded this good. :-)  Usually my finished product doesn't sound as precise and clear as this. Nice guitar playing and tone.  Did you play the bongos or whatever they are?  Lookin' forward to hearing the end result.

Very nice sound indeed.  I like the build-up in instrumentation following the acoustic introduction.
I look forward to what comes next.

I like this one very much.  The performances are very good, and the mix captured them very well.  Like everyone else says, let us know when it's complete.  John must have been looking at your reward points when he made his comment.  BTW, how does one earn reward points?

    All the best,

    Larry,

Pretty good test track....  My assumption is that you are testing the mix quality.   It is clear from listening that your recording quality is outstanding and I like what you have done with the space and dimensions.   Very pro sounding.  Love the verbs and mix field panorama.   Musically it is good as well but what really stood out to me was the quality of the mix.

Ok....you guys are going to HATE me....

This was recorded in a program that I paid $40 NEW...A complete DAW with multiple VI's and effects...

It was recorded with NOTHING else but ONE Virtual Instrument that CAME WITH THE SOFTWARE,
and ONLY the effects that came with the program.  It even came with a Mastering Suite that included
an AUTO Mastering function.  While I would never recommend using such thing, I tried it....
and it gave REALLY nice results.  I used the Mastering Suite on this recording, but not the AUTO
    function.

    I know that sounds crazy...but it's true...I WAS STUNNED.....I couldn't believe my ears.
This is the CLEANEST, most pristine sound I've ever attained ITB in my 35 years doing this.

I seriously could not believe the quality of the sound and the samples and the final result....CRAZY!!!

I won't tell you what program it is...I'm not here to promote anyone else's software...but
    THIS IS COMPLETELY NUTZ...

THIS is why these DAW companies, AND Effects companies, better get their S**T together...when you can buy, for $40,
a product like this...it's GAME CHANGING.

I like the groove in this. Many could learn a lot from this. What is good about this (musically) is there is tons of space and each of the parts are only quite sparse and simple but the total adds up to something that sounds better than the sum. The black backdrop is clear amd visible.

What too many do is layer so much stuff and it all gets too messy and complictaed and layered. That is always harder to mix as well. I bet this track was easy to mix too because of the arrangement and the playing. (nice BTW)

I think the quality of the end result has much more to do with the way you put the music together not the program you used. You could do the same thing musically in any program. But maybe it was the simplicity of the program that made you focus on something else such as the music and the playing and the arrangement.  That IMO is when a DAW is really great. When in fact you are thinking about the music and only the music and not much else.

    Well done Larry
