Testing VSTs to "ensure" compatibility

So with my recent troubles with file corruption I have decided to be very careful in the use and selection of my VSTs.  Don't get me wrong, I am only using the supplied VSTs and some quality purchased VSTs (mostly EarReverb, Voxengo Gliss EQ 64, Camel Phat, Camel Space) all of which seem to be working without trouble.

I use Sonar 64 and sometimes I use 32 bit plugins bridged of course through Bitbridge (I have taken a look at Jbridge and may purchase a copy soon).

My question is: Is there a surefire way to thoroughly test a 32 bit VST in 64 bit Sonar to ensure it is completely compatible?  A way to ensure that a VST that appears to work correctly won't all of a sudden crash due to some incompatibility that only shows from time to time?  Any methods you would use to test a 32 bit VST?  I suppose I am not looking for a guarentee so much as a confident yes that the plugin is compatible.

In a previous thread someone has mentioned starting a list of known fully-compatible VSTs, maybe this would help?

I haven't figured out a way to do this other than loading them up and crossing my fingers.  I would love it though if someone had a better way!
