Test.sfz.txt

I know it's simple but; I just wrote my first sfz without awave. Now using notpad I inserted the proper opcode/wav.file and save the textfile as TEST.sfz well rapture can't see it as it's TEST.sfz.txt

What's the fix?

I might be missing something, Larry, but did you try dropping the .txt? Just save it as test.sfz.

In older versions of windows you could change the file type. But in xp it's like you can't there is just no way to drop the txt I can see. On my other projects I used awave to map and save. so the file type was a no brainer. But in notpad it always saves as .txt and I can't find my way clear to change it. I've even tried to change open with program dialog but when I click Rapture it just opens the folder and I go round and round.

Not sure what' I'm missing, Larry, but I truly am trying to help. When the Save dialog comes up, I just Backspace out the blue highlighted ".txt", and type in my filename with a .sfz extension. Then when I go to look for it again, I switch the "Save as Type" to All Files. Encoding is ANSI.

The synths see it just fine. Let me see if I can break that.

In any Explorer window e.g. My Documents, click on Tools:Folder Options. Now, click the View tab. Make sure you uncheck the 'Hide extensions for known file types'.

Hit Apply. Now, you will see the full extensions of all files. Now you can rename it to a .sfz

Let me know if this fixes it for you....

    Regards,
    Adam
