Thank You Pistol Pete
You make us all look good. Though I am sure we are depriving some village of its... errr... ahh... "colorful character", I am glad you are here. Besides, its kinda cool that we can beat on you mercilessly and you still come back for more. Don't ever change.

Every ecosystem has its checks and balances. If someone were to complain that we are all too touchy feely nice in the song forum or what have you, we can say: "Oh really?" and point to Pete.

When I was still getting over my bout with throat cancer and finally was able to talk again. I gave singing a try since I hadn't been able to for 5 years. It was tough but with encouragement from some wonderful people in the forums I gave it a try. It was very very frustrating cuz I would lose my voice after about 15 min. of trying to lay a vocal track down. Over about 2 weeks time I actually managed to get 3 tunes I think it was. That's when Pistol Pete appeared laughed and made fun of how my voice sounded. He really put down what I had recorded. That the kind of guy he is. P.S. you'll never see or hear anything he has ever played or recorded

@chuck... Yeah, he be trollin'. Sadly on an open forum like this that just happens. I try not to let any internet comments bug me but yanno... sometimes it's hard. Especially somewhere like the song forum where you are presenting your art for inspection by your peers.

Back when I first joined here, it was the first forum I had been a part of. I started with Guitar Tracks and thats where Pete showed up. Having not been exposed to a troll before, he got me good po'd. I called in some chits and actually found out who and where he was. If not for a fellow forum member who has become a good friend, I was going to show up on his doorstep and "deal" with him on my terms. Turns out he's just a sad individual, and not worth the effort. That's when some others and myself began "kicking the stump" as it became known. I'm not proud of those times. The guy is just a bottom feeder in the world and not worth the time I spent typing this. One of Pete's reviews from the songs forum: pistolpete With all the storms and rolling ships, I feel like I am getting sea sick Ah! So that's why I felt like puking when I listened to to the song. this is just one of Pete's enlightened "different viewpoints" Again - I agree with Randy here. He's not even worth the time it took me to type this.

I guess Beagle didn't take the time to read the profane personal attacks at me that the person my comment was directed to posted. My statement was about a song and not a person or their viewpoint.

A bit unecessary on a peer to peer forum maybe, where I think reviews should also contain encouragement. You can be honest and give an opinion without a need to be rude and upsetting. I'm not joining in a bashing fest here as I don't really know the bloke and don't have first-hand experience of his verbals being directed at me, but I can clearly see where some of the comments cited here would have been hurtful had they been.

"pistol pete"I thought you did a great job. (I don't really think it sounds like David Gilmour's solo work at all though.) The associated video was a nice touch. What I thought was good about the video is that it didn't show irrelevant random pictures but some basic scenery to set the mood of the song. In reference to ABull's Original Blues piece I think he does kind of do things on the abrasive side but not all the time...methinks...

I'm really not into bashing people for the sake of bashing people either and I don't really like threads like these and try not to participate. but I did. shame on me. for my part, Pete, I apologize for jumping onto the "Pete bashing" regardless of how I feel about you or your posts. to everyone else: the evidence of how one behaves is clear in the history of his/her posts. read and decide for yourself how you would judge.
