Thank you Gibson

My customer experience with Cakewalk since you bought them has been brilliant and I normally hate corporate take overs!

I'm just speaking the truth credit where it's due. Absolutely nothing to complain about.

We're always gonna **** and moan about some feature or bug but the communication and involvement with the user base is second to non.

I'm guilty as the next man of having a glass half empty mentality when it comes to suppliers but I can say unreservedly that my glass is 7/8ths full with Cake / Gibson.

I was always a Fender man since my first Telecaster Thinline back in 1976. Since the takeover of Cakewalk, I now have a Les Paul and a (just newly bought) ES-335...A sort of reverse switch sell ! Keep up the sterling work, I am really stoked about what the future holds, but grateful enough for what has already been achieved....

As you can tell from my pick, I'm mainly a Les Paul player. Currently have six of varying flavors. First guitar was a 74 LP Special picked up second hand in summer of 85.  It's been semi-retired as newer guitars have come into the fold.   Also have a couple of SG's.  Have also been somewhat pleased by the direction Cakewalk has gone since Gibson bought them (though admittedly, wasn't sure what would happen in the beginning).

I totally agree with the spirit of this thread. I've been around since Cakewalk for DOS 3 and this is the strongest Cakewalk/Sonar has been.  Gibson seems totally committed to the software.

I don't think any of the other controlling companies were bad at all, but Gibson's doing a great job.

Many kudos.  I would buy you all a Victory Dirt Wolf Double IPA, if I could.

Lucky you!  Dirt Wolf is pretty much my favorite sausage/onion/extra cheese pizza ale.  It stands up to it beautifully.  I like it with bacon/cheddar cheese burgers and extra sharp white cheddar cheese too.  A really excellent ale; I also appreciate the unfiltered approach of the brewers on this.

How much different is it on tap?

“Beer is proof God loves us and wants us to be happy” is attributed to Benjamin Franklin perhaps in error, but the thought remains a worthy sentiment nonetheless.

I fully agree with this.  I'm a relative newcomer having only got on board with Cakewalk during the Windows 3.1 era.   Under Gibson, the product is going through very exciting times and an unprecedented period of development.  I don't know how the bakers are keeping up this frenetic pace, but it sure is fun to be on the receiving end.

Thanks so much to the Cakewalk folks, and those at Gibson giving the bakers the freedom to shoot for the stars.
