Thank you Mr. FedEx man....

he just showed up a day early with my Octa-Capture.... dang, it is going to be a long work day... I am SO busy this week but it sure does look good. Maybe I will get to play around with it a little before the weekend. Old and tired sucks but it beats young and stupid anyday...(been there done that).

I love Sweetwater... and the candy they always throw in the box.

Cool! You finally decided what to get and went with the new Octa-Capture.

Keep us posted on what's going on with you, and maybe a personal review of the new audio interface?

uuuuhhhhh... didn't sleep good last night, feet hurt... but this Octa is BEAUTIFUL!!! I am reading the manual. I am so excited to finally have hardware that will actually work with my software... I am so close I can taste it. IF I hit a bottleneck now I am going straight to Studiocat... there is no turning back now, I have so many songs ready... and finally have the time too (sometimes).
What will it be like in a few years when we have Windows-10 128bit and some whole new technology in interfaces that has absolute zero latency all for an affordable price... perhaps virtual computing that will anticipate what you are going to do before you do it. Hard drives, cables, and interfaces made of nanobots where everything is "livin"g (in a sense) and everything is instant.

I could be cynical and figure that the technology will exist but the dollar will be worthless and we won't be able to buy any of it and we will be forced to use wind to power our flourescent lightbulbs that will make all sorts of noise and they will finally get around to BPL implementation (broadband over powerlines) and RF interference will be off the scale, oh... nevermind... just kidding. Everyone forget about the law of unintended consequenses... do not attempt to adjust your TV set.

I am going to post a question in a seperate therad about compact flurescent bulbs, noise, and recording. am curious about that. (I am going to hoard me some incandescent blubs anyway just because I do not like being told what I can and cannot do).
