Split the note.

Thanks. I'll check it out when I have more time to play with it.

Gradual drifts and vibrato adjustments are still reserved for the bigger versions of Melodyne, so in that sense V-Vocal definitely has the edge. But I remember not knowing I could split notes really tripped me up when I first started using it.

I've never seen the term spread in there, but I do know that Melodyne Essential does NOT include the pitch modulation tool that you're probably looking for.
Look here:
http://www.celemony.com/en/melodyne/functions

They call it vibrato in this list.

My apology...

The term they use is "Drift", not spread.... Bad memory chip in my head...

On my way to check out your link...

Thanks...

Ahhh... At last I see... From your link I found a demo video of vocal editing... Nice. It seems to do all the things I need and very nicely. At least the demo sounded clean and without artifacts... A limitless different visually but I'm sure I could get used to it...

So I will continue to use VV until the day I can affor the Editor upgrade... But at least I see that the full version does indeed do these chores as well as polyphony... Not having the tools in our lite version was a bit misleading. So I see that until I actually have Editor, I have no reason to use it instead of VV... ?

BTW... I believe some of the tools are called LFO or such in Editor as well...

Thanks....

I think that tool is called the pitch modulation tool. Not sure what they call it in the video. But yes, if you need to edit drift or vibrato, I would suggest sticking with V-Vocal for now, especially since you're already comfortable with it.
