Thanks Bakers for Aux Tracks !!!!

I was watching a video series called 5 minutes to a better mix.   Now the person performing the techniques in these videos uses a different recording software,  However,  it's the technique he uses which is important.   Now that we have AUX tracks in Sonar Platinum, it makes the process a lot easier.

Take a look at this video and then try it in Sonar and see how well it sounds.  This blew my mind!!

The cut through Kick Trick

Please come back and let us know what you think about the use of the Aux track in sonar now after watching this video.

Peace,

Definitely my favourite feature so far. It's opened up so many possibilities that were just fiddly as hell or flat out impossible before!

+1 for those of us who use controllers. The master section can never be read with some of the controllers I have. Using the Aux tracks allows me to make buses right with my tracks, so my controllers see them as they should. There was something in the separator that was stopping my tracks from showing. None of my other editors had that, BUT....it's good we still have that option available. I just about never touch my master bus, so I don't care that I have to access it via mouse. :) I'm happy with all the new stuff the bakers have given us. This is one of the best years for Sonar to date in my opinion.

Danny,

Which Controller are you using with Sonar.  If you are using it in Mackie Mode, The Mackie Properties must have the Master Fader set to Bus and assigned to number 1 then save it.

Your master fader on your controller will move when you move the master bus in Sonar.

If your are not using Mackie Mode,  then pay me no attention.

Peace,

I am using Mackie mode and have master set for bus and 1, but it is not helping me in my particular situation. I'm using a Midas M-32 console as my controller. When I saw the sidebars light up to the bus section, I got excited but none of the bus names appeared nor was I able to switch through them. I was hoping this would work....but, so far no luck. Thanks so much for trying to help me out on this. I'd love to be able to use the buses with my controller, but so far, the separator is what is killing me.
